Connections

Your IT environment and business applications rely on a complex ecosystem of interconnected components—websites, shared folders, files, network resources, databases, cloud services, APIs, and third-party platforms. The availability and proper operation of these elements are essential for maintaining smooth and uninterrupted business processes.

AimBetter Connections Monitoring extends visibility beyond traditional infrastructure monitoring by continuously validating the availability, accessibility, and health of the connections that support your business operations. Beyond simply confirming that a resource is reachable, AimBetter collects and analyzes key metrics that provide deeper insight into its behavior and condition. These insights help identify a wide range of potential issues—from access and security-related problems to unexpected changes in business-critical data, KPI deviations, performance concerns, and upcoming certificate expirations.

With AimBetter, IT teams gain the visibility needed to detect risks early, understand their potential impact, and resolve issues before they disrupt users or affect business continuity.

Key Monitoring Capabilities by Connection Type

AimBetter Connections Monitoring supports multiple resource types, each with dedicated health indicators and measurements designed to identify availability, performance, and operational risks.

Connection monitoring is configured through the AimBetter Configuration application, which should be installed on the server from which you want AimBetter to monitor the selected resource.

After opening the AimBetter Configuration application, navigate to the Connections tab, select the required connection type, and define the resource you want to monitor.

Connections Monitoring is seamlessly integrated into the AimBetter dashboard, providing a consistent experience across all monitoring features. Like other AimBetter modules, it enables users to quickly navigate from an overall view into detailed resource-level insights, investigate issues, and identify root causes without leaving the dashboard.

AimBetter gives you the flexibility to choose exactly which connections and resources are most important to your business. Based on your operational needs and past experience, you can define the targets you want to monitor and select the measurements that provide the most value.

Connections Monitoring is available in bundles of 50 monitored targets. You choose the resources you want to protect—such as storage locations, websites, databases, SQL queries, and network endpoints—and AimBetter continuously monitors their availability, performance, and key indicators. If your environment requires monitoring more than 50 targets, additional bundles can be added at any time.

All collected information is seamlessly integrated into the central AimBetter dashboard, providing a unified view of your monitored environment and enabling users to access insights, alerts, and detailed investigations directly through their browser.
